Does BudgetBuddy require an account?
Yes. Because budgets and transactions are shared between partners, BudgetBuddy uses a secure account (Firebase Authentication) so only your household can see your shared financial data.
Is there a free version?
Yes. The free plan includes up to 50 transactions and 5 shared bills per month, 2 savings goals, and 3 months of history. Unlimited transactions, receipt photos, and CSV export are Pro features.
Does BudgetBuddy connect to my bank account?
No — all transactions are entered manually by you and your partner. BudgetBuddy does not connect to bank accounts.
How is our financial data protected?
Your household’s data is stored in a private Firestore database protected by Firebase Security Rules, so only authenticated members of your household can read or write it. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
