1. Who We Are

FamilyHub is operated by KGKV LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the FamilyHub service:

• Account information — name, email address, and password (or Google/Apple sign-in token) when you create an account.
• Family circle data — family name, member roles, and the invite code you use to add members.
• Content you create — chores, calendar events, chat messages, check-ins, and meal plans you add to your family circle.
• Profile photos — if you choose to upload one. Photos are stored securely in Firebase Storage.
• Device information — device type and push notification token, used only to send you notifications you have enabled.
• Advertising identifier — used by Google AdMob to serve ads to free-tier users. You can remove ads with a Family Plan subscription.

3. What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect precise GPS location data.
• Check-ins are text messages you choose to send — we never track your location in the background.
• We do not collect contacts, call logs, or any data from other apps on your device.
• We do not collect biometric data of any kind.

4. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to provide the FamilyHub service:

• To sync your family circle data in real time across all family members' devices.
• To send push notifications you have enabled (chore reminders, check-ins, messages).
• To serve advertisements to free-tier users via Google AdMob.
• To process Family Plan subscription payments via RevenueCat and the App Store / Google Play.

We do not use your data to train AI models, build advertising profiles, or sell to third parties.

5. Family Circle Data and Consent

FamilyHub is designed around consent. Every family member must accept an invitation to join a family circle — no one can be added without their participation.

Check-in messages are sent voluntarily by the user. FamilyHub does not track any family member's location without their explicit action of sending a check-in.

Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising minors' use of FamilyHub. We recommend that minors under 13 use FamilyHub only under parental supervision.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

FamilyHub is intended for family use and may be used by children under 13 under parental supervision. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
• Children's data is never used for targeted advertising.
• Parents may request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting [email protected].
• If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately.

7. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage), hosted in the United States. Firebase is SOC 2 Type II certified and uses industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

Access to your family circle data is protected by Firebase Security Rules — only authenticated members of your specific family circle can read or write your family's data.

8. Third-Party Services

FamilyHub uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, storage, and push notifications. Firebase Privacy Policy

• RevenueCat — subscription management. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
• Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing for subscriptions.

9. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data including your family circle content, messages, and profile information is permanently deleted within 30 days.

To delete your account, go to FamilyHub → Settings → Account → Delete Account, or contact us at [email protected].

10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction — update or correct your personal information.
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Opt out of advertising — upgrade to Family Plan to remove all ads.

11. Push Notifications

FamilyHub sends push notifications for chore reminders, check-ins, family messages, and calendar events. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or within the FamilyHub app under Settings → Notifications.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via push notification or email. Continued use of FamilyHub after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
