FamilyHub is designed around consent. Every family member must accept an invitation to join a family circle — no one can be added without their participation.
Check-in messages are sent voluntarily by the user. FamilyHub does not track any family member's location without their explicit action of sending a check-in.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising minors' use of FamilyHub. We recommend that minors under 13 use FamilyHub only under parental supervision.
FamilyHub is intended for family use and may be used by children under 13 under parental supervision. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage), hosted in the United States. Firebase is SOC 2 Type II certified and uses industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
Access to your family circle data is protected by Firebase Security Rules — only authenticated members of your specific family circle can read or write your family's data.

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data including your family circle content, messages, and profile information is permanently deleted within 30 days.

FamilyHub sends push notifications for chore reminders, check-ins, family messages, and calendar events. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or within the FamilyHub app under Settings → Notifications.
