LifeSteward AI has two tiers with genuinely different data handling. Free tier stores everything only on your device — nothing is ever sent to our servers except your sign-in itself. Pro tier syncs your data to our encrypted cloud so you can access it across devices, and unlocks an AI assistant that can answer questions about it.
LifeSteward AI is developed and operated by KGKV LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. Contact us at [email protected].
On the free tier, your documents, home inventory, tasks, calendar events, budget and transactions, and notes are stored only in the app's local database on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers, never leave your device, and have no cloud backup — if you lose your device or delete the app, this data is gone. We tell you this explicitly the first time you use the app.
The only thing free-tier accounts send us is what's needed to sign you in (your email/password, or your Google/Microsoft account identifier if you use those).
Upgrading to Pro moves your data to our cloud backend (Supabase, hosted on AWS) so it syncs across your devices. The following is stored server-side for Pro accounts:
Every document and inventory photo you capture is encrypted on your device, before it's ever uploaded, using a key that only you hold (a passphrase you set, with a one-time recovery code as backup). We store two independently-encrypted copies of that key — one wrapped by your passphrase, one wrapped by your recovery code — and never the raw key itself. This means nobody at KGKV, and nobody who somehow gained access to our database, could read your original photos or scanned files.
If you never upgrade to Pro, none of this applies — free-tier photos are encrypted with a device-only key that never leaves your phone in the first place.
The AI assistant (Pro only) answers questions by searching your own data and sending only the specific relevant pieces it finds — never your entire vault — to a third-party AI language model provider to generate an answer. We do not send your raw encrypted files to any AI provider; only text (extracted document text, task titles, note contents, and similar) that's relevant to your specific question. The assistant also proactively surfaces a small number of automated notices (for example, a warranty expiring soon, or spending on pace to exceed a budget) computed from your own data.
If a scanned document is too unclear for on-device text recognition, Pro users can optionally send that specific photo to our cloud AI provider for a second attempt. This only happens after you're shown an explicit prompt naming that the photo will leave your device, and can be turned off entirely in Settings.
You can export a complete copy of your data at any time from Settings → Export My Data — a .zip file containing your documents, inventory, tasks, calendar events, budget/transactions, notes, and remembered facts, plus the original decrypted photo/scan files.
Free-tier data lives only on your device and is removed the moment you delete the app. For Pro accounts, deleting your account from Settings → Delete Account (or from kgkvllc.com/delete/lifestewardai if you can't access the app) permanently and immediately removes your documents, inventory, tasks, calendar events, budget/transactions, notes, assistant history, remembered facts, encrypted files, and account details. This cannot be undone.
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time, using the in-app tools described above or by contacting [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
LifeSteward AI is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
