Most KGKV apps are local-first by design. These aren't — and that's a deliberate, structural choice, not a departure from those values. Cross-device sync and AI processing both genuinely require a server. Where that's true, we build it, and we're specific about exactly what leaves your device and why.

Why these apps are different: a document vault you can reach from a new phone, or an AI assistant that can actually search across your data, can't work purely on-device. So these apps have real user accounts and a real backend — and in exchange, each one below states plainly what that means for your data, not just that an account exists.
